2. Old Business
a. Golf E-Mail Specials. Had a meeting with GTC Engineering on 12 October. GTC is creating a CITRIX interface to clear up software issues so that accounts can be accurately tracked. The system may be up by December 2007 and at that time can move forward with the Premium Player's Club.
b. Sea 'N Air Course Realignment. Some tweaking needs to be completed. The course has been rated by SGCA. The Men's Club is in the process of collecting score cards so the handicap per hole can be determined. Captain Osborne complimented the outcome. Final architectural/site plans for the restroom design were delivered 15 October. Utility drawings need to be completed before solicitation can go out. Target solicitation date is 3 December 2007, with an award date in January 2008. Estimated construction time is four months. Seabees will be performing the work on the restroom on #15. The porta-potties are being maintained much better under the new contract. Captain Osborne commented that maintenance on the new facilities needs to be kept up.
c. Potable Water at Admiral Baker. Plan to award the week of 22 October 2007. The salt content in the river water is very high. The long term plan is to reconstruct all the greens and convert them to bent grass.
d. Creek at #14 Sea 'N Air. Mr. Chris Gillespie from NAVFAC attended the meeting and provided the following information: There is some site contamination that needs to be cleaned up. Naval Base Coronado has this listed as a restoration project. The regional water control board has been asking questions which has held up the process. The current plan is to begin this project sometime during the winter months, with a two to four week estimated completion. NAVFAC has included bubblers in this project design.
e. Golf Cart Global Positioning System. GPS systems are in the carts at Sea 'N Air. Ads have been updated on the carts at Admiral Baker. A request was made to take the old markers and put them back in for the walkers. Mr. Magnani said that was not a problem. Mr. Higgins will be meeting with the contractor on the sprinkler head markers. Captain Osborne asked if there were extra GPS boxes for walkers to rent. Mr. Higgins responded that GPS systems for walkers was tried at Admiral Baker and there was no sufficient interest to warrant the extra systems.
f. Cart Paths. Captain Osborne asked if the cart paths could be striped. Mr. Magnani will take that issue for action.
g. Golf Practice and Learning Facility. LCDR Pitcock asked if distance markers would be placed at the Golf Practice and Learning Facility. Mr. Higgins responded that they had just been ordered. Mr. Higgins is also working on new score cards with updated yardage.
h. Water fountains at Admiral Baker. A malfunctioning water pressure regulator caused three filters in the fountains to crack. PWC replaced the regulator on 18 October. Parts are on hand to repair the water fountains and those repairs should be completed within the week. Mr. Magnani indicated this would solve restroom problems also.
i. Yardage Markers. New yardage markers are on order.
j. Driving range ball dispenser. Mr. Higgins explained the problems that the golf course has had in the past with vandalism of the range ball dispensers and change machines. The pro shop has an e-range button available, there is a $5.00 deposit but players get a break on the cost of a bucket of range balls.
k. Wet sand bunkers. LCDR Pitcock mentioned that the sand bunkers seem to always be wet. Mr. Magnani replied that due to poor water quality, the maintenance personnel are leaching more often which will cause the sand bunkers to be wet.
l. Folding wall at Sea 'N Air. Mr. Hammel, Dining Services Program manager is reluctant to place the folding wall where it has been proposed to be placed. Mr. Young will meet with Mr. Hammel to discuss alternatives to placement of the folding wall. Captain Osborn indicated the noise is concentrated near the bar area and the the buffet is too cold when located near the registers.
m. Water stations. Mr. Jan Gartside asked if there could be water stations throughout the course or if the Course Marshalls could carry water. Mr. Higgins feels that this is a health issue as it is not a sanitary means to deliver water. Mr. Young indicated that we would try having Marshalls carry water.
3. New Business.
a. Prioritized Project Update. Project updates for the Sea 'N Air, Admiral Baker and Naval Station Golf Courses were distributed and discussed by Mr. Mike Magnani. (See enclosures (1) through (3)).
b. CNRSW MWR Golf Course Financial Performance.

Ms. Connors will check on the price and refill information. Mr. Osborne also requested that china cups be used for those who are eating and not paper or styrofoam cups.
i. Admiral Baker and Sea 'N Air Staff. CDR Denman complimented the Admiral Baker Staff on their professionalism, LCDR Naranjo also complimented the Sea 'N Air Staff.
j. Courses not opening on time. LCDR Pitcock mentioned that the Pro Shops have not been opening on time. He indicated he has had to wait on weekends and asked if it were possible to bring in two openers? Mr. Higgins will take a look at this.
k. GPS Upgrade. ABCM Rape asked if the GPS systems could be upgraded to include the ability to order food, or, at the very least, install a telephone at Sea 'N Air to call in orders for pick up.
