l. The Regional Golf Course Advisory Committee met at l000, Thursday, 17 January 2008, in the Admiral Baker Clubhouse. The following members were present:

2. Old Business
a. Golf E-Mail Specials. CITRIX is currently building the server system. Anticipated completion date is 1 February.
b. Sea 'N Air Course Restroom. Completed drawings should be received by 30 January. After receipt, the project will go to bid for 30 days. Construction will take approximately 60-90 days. Anticipated completion May or June timeframe.
c. Potable Water at Admiral Baker. The contract has been awarded to Center Line Design. Expect the 50% design by 22 Jan 08, completed design anticipated in April. Once the new potable water system is complete, the North Course will be closed for approximately one year to replace the greens.
d. Creek at #14 Sea 'N Air. NAVFAC is waiting on permits before they can begin work.
e. Golf Cart Global Positioning System. The 100, 150 and 200 yard markers have been reinstalled for the walkers.
f. Cart Paths. Round yardage markers have been attached to the cart paths.
g. Water fountains at Admiral Baker. Water fountains have been repaired.
h. Water stations. Water coolers have been purchased for use by the Course Marshalls.
i. Cart paths mirror at Sea 'N Air. A mirror has been installed.
j. Monument on #2 Tee. The tee monument has been moved to a more visible location.
k. Cart turnaround on #14. Need to get with the architect to determine best way to resolve the turnaround issue. Also, will check with environmental on adding a bridge for golfers who prefer to walk.
l. Driving Range project. Netting was repaired on 16 January. New standards for poles for 2008. In order to extend the height of the netting, new poles will be required.
m. 19th Hole Coffee. Per Ms. Stevens, the 19th hole will be eliminating the 12 oz. cup when the stock on hand is depleted. Free refills come with menu service. The majority of customers prefer to-go cups; however, if patrons would like china cups in the dining area, they may request them.
n. Courses not opening on time. Mr. Higgins researched this and it appears there have not been any recent problems.
o. GPS Upgrade. Mr. Higgins is working on either including the ability to order food or install a telephone so patrons may call in food orders. Currently there is no resolution on this request.
p. Golf E-Mail specials. LCDR Naranjo asked if those who had NMCI addresses could begin receiving the e-mail specials. Mr. Young with discuss this with Mr. Higgins.
3. New Business.
a. Prioritized Project Update. Project updates for the Sea 'N Air, Admiral Baker and Naval Station Golf Courses were distributed and discussed by Mr. Mike Magnani. (See enclosures (1) through (3)).
b. CNRSW MWR Golf Course Financial Performance.

c. Course playability. LCDR Pitcock mentioned that both Admiral Baker and Sea 'N Air courses are playing very well.
d. Ball marks/divots. Senior Chief Pagan asked if signs could be put up requesting golfers to repair their ball marks and divots. Mr. Magnani will take this for action. Admiral Baker has volunteers who help repair divots. Sea 'N Air currently has no volunteers to assist with divot repair. Volunteers receive free golf in exchange for their time. The Golf Advisory representatives indicated they would assist in finding volunteers.
e. Speed of play at Sea 'N Air. Some discussion was held on the speed of play at Sea 'N Air. Sometimes rounds take five to six hours to complete. Mr. Magnani will work with Mr. Higgins and talk to the Marshalls to be more diligent. The recommendation was made to have the Marshalls begin rounds at the 18th hole and work backwards through the course to the first tee to identify those areas where play may be lagging.

PROJECT UPDATE
SEA N AIR GOLF COURSE
I. Projects Completed November through January
a. Additional trees have been planted on holes #2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 14 and 16.
b. Yardage markers have been installed on cart paths.
II. Projects Started/Completed/Ongoing February through April
a. Rebuild #17 tee.
b. Add additional trees to #14 in front of the old green.
c. Green aerification scheduled 7-9 April
d. Continue with ongoing routine maintenance.

b. Sodding of #5 tee North is complete.

d. Move equipment back into new section of the golf maintenance facility.
II. Projects Started/Completed/Ongoing February through April
a. Cement in place all ball washers.
b. Aerification is scheduled for 3-5 March (South), 17-19 March (North).
c. Combine blue and white tee on #18 North.
d. Continue with ongoing routine maintenance.
