The venue for this month's tournament is Chicago Blitz (see the rules below). The first tee time is 07:31 (see the pairings below). This posting updated as of 25 Apr 08. Changes may be expected. The pairings, tee times and rules at game time take precedence over these posted on the web site. Please check in at least fourty- five minutes prior to your tee time.
CHICAGO BLITZ (4-Man Team Format) RULES
Each individual will play his own ball for the complete round.
Tally only gross scores hole by hole.
No practice putting on the course.
SCORING:
Each player will score points as follows:
* Gross Bogey: One point
* Gross Par: Two points
* Gross Birdie: Four points
* Gross Eagle (or Ace): Six points
* Gross Double Eagle (Albatross): Ten points
April handicaps shall be used for this tournament.
At the end of the round each player totals the points scored at each hole. This is your "Point Total." From the number thirty-nine (39), subtract your handicap. This is your "Factor Number." From the "Point Total" subtract your "Factor Number." This is your "Game Score." Add each team member's "Game Score" to obtain your "Team Score."
Example: Player A (HCP 15) 35 points; Player B (HCP 9) 25 points;
Player C (HCP 25) 16 points; Player D (HCP 2) 40 points
Player Game Scores:
A. Points (35) less Factor Number [39-15 (HCP)=24] = Game Score (+11)
B. 25 - (39- 9=30) = -5
C. 16 - (39-25=14) = +2
D. 40 - (39- 2=37) = +3
Team Score: +11 -5 +2 +3 = +11
