2008 Club Championship Final Results

The following players are the NEW Sea N Air Men's Club 2008 Club Champions:

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to the 49 club members who participated in this year's competition.

The 2008 Club Championship Tournament was a huge success due, in part to the terrific support from Pro Shop staff and Men's Club volunteers who pitched in:

Matt Brumbaugh's crew including Matt himself and Mike provided consistent quality support in so many ways. Pre-tournament preparation, formally announced tee times by "blazer jacketed" 1st send-offs, sleeves of golf balls to all players, plenty of healthy snack goodies, cold water at the starter area and periodic visits to the carts to make sure players had water throughout the rounds, carts marked and score cards placed in carts and carts lined up in tee-time-order just to highlight a few of the professional touches.

Russ Vorce and Paul Stephenson provided critical early planning, accurate registration accounting and superb leadership. They kept everything on an even keel, running smoothly. Kudos go to our two Tournament Co-chairs for their considerable efforts and contributions.

Bob Kramer was a standout, supporting the event on both days with score card validation and postings, assisted by Phill Holley and Lane Fridell.

Bob Totten, although injured, volunteered to come out early and assist with morning check in.

There were more:

Cliff Schmidt's support taking care of the money for the event, and arranging the cash payout dollar denominations was another key factor in the smooth order of this event. In spite of a painful injury that prevented him from participating, Cliff delivered all required support bright and early, and stayed with things until all delinquent payments were accounted for. Outstanding job in the face of frustration from the late payments.

Rob Crenshaw did a magnificent job of pre-tourney preparations, and he made the two day event a seamless evolution by virtue of all the hard work he put in toward ensuring the success of our championship tournament.

The payout list is posted on the club bulletin board, paid down to five places in each flight.

This year we have three flights. Ties were settled by a card-off using the Sunday scorecard starting with the first hole.
