The format for this month's tournament is Progressive Four Man Best Ball (see the rules below). This is a new format to our tournament lineup, replacing Chicago Blitz. The pairings, tee times and rules at game time take precedence over these posted on the web site. Changes may be expected.

The first tee time is 0731. Please check in at least fourty-five minutes prior to your tee time.

The Pro Shop will have the pairings and tee times by Wed, 22 April.

For those who requested early, middle or late tee times, with the nature of the Blind Draw and all that it entails... we are not able to accommodate your request for this format.

RULES

PROGRESSIVE FOUR MAN BEST BALL

Teams: Players will be divided into four handicap flights; A, B, C & D flighted by April Indices. After flighting the players into four groups, the Tournament Chair will direct the computer to divide the entire field of players into balanced foursomes with near-equal team handicaps, each with an A, B, C, and D player.

All teams will compete head to head. There will be no team flights.

Team Handicap: Each player will play to 100% of his individual handicap.

Format:

• Each player will play his own ball throughout the entire round.
  
• Record GROSS score, hole by hole, for each team member.
  
• ALL putts must be holed out--No gimmies! This will be scored as a Tournament round.
• No practice putting.
  
• Handicap strokes apply hole by hole.
• Each four man team will select a NET score from a different player (A, B, C or D) for each of the first four holes (1, 2, 3 and 4) played.
• The four NET score selection shall be done after each four hole play.
• This will be repeated for the next four holes (5, 6, 7 and 8) and on through the 16th hole.
• Each subsequent set of four holes will be scored the same way using a player from each flight level.
• For hole 17 and 18, select the low NET player, but not the same player.
  
• Teams without four players will record the GROSS scores of the teammates present and compute the NET scoring in the clubhouse after getting a Blind Draw from the Tournament Committee.
  

Scoring:

• Total the "TEAM NET Score" for the round. This is the Final Team Score.
• Team with the lowest Final Team Score wins.
  
• Score cards must be signed/attested by all players on the team.
• Ties will be broken by matching score cards using the best TEAM NET Score beginning with the first hole.

Special:

• Practice Putt(s) / Shot(s) are Prohibited during the round."Closest to the Pin" will be awarded on four of the five par three holes.
• Tournament Chairman will select a Blind Draw for those teams without four players. A like flighted player will be selected. In other words, if a B player is missing, the Blind Draw will select a B player.
• USGA rules supplemented by local rules apply.
  
• Do NOT post your own score. Scores will be posted as a Tournament Score by the Handicap Committee.
