Sign up must be paid for before Saturday tee time.

This month's tournament is the Club Championship (see the Rules below). The first tee time is 07:31 (see the Pairings below). Changes may be expected. The pairings, tee times and rules at game time take precedence over these posted on the website. Please check-in at least forty-five minutes prior to your tee time.

Tournament sign up must be accompanied by a $78 check. Tournament applications are available online and at Club Bulletin Board. Punch cards are not accepted for this tournament.

The Club Championship will be played on two successive days -- Saturday and Sunday. The handicap, that will be applied, will be calculated from your LI (Low Index) that appears on the September 2009 SCGA Index Report. See also your LI reported on the "Roster" page of our website. Call any member of the Board of Governors for the password.

The tournament format is Individual Low Net/Low Gross. There will be three first place prizes awarded. Individual Low Net, Individual Low Net (Super Seniors) and Individual Low Gross. Super Seniors are those members 70 years or older.

Anticipate three flights. Flights will be determined by your Low Index (LI) number.

The pairings for the first day will be in handicap order. With the low handicaped players going off early. The pairings for the second day will change. They will be based on the standings from day one. The players with the lowest Gross scores will be teamed against each other and will go off first. The players with the highest Gross scores will go off last.

I will try to get the second day pairings posted Saturday night (26 Sep). If you shot low on Saturday, show up early Sunday.

Rules

TEAMS: There is no team play. You sign up and play as a single. The pairings for the first day will be in handicap order, with the low handicaped players going off early. The pairings for the second day will be based on your Gross score from day one, with the low Gross players going off early.

HANDICAP: Your HCP will be calculated from your LI (Low Index) that appears on the September 2009 SCGA Index Report. See also your LI reported on the "Roster" page of our website. If you have an N/I assigned, the Tournament Committee will determine your low Index based on past months' Index records.

FORMAT: The Club Championship Tournament is a two-day event. The format is Individual Low Net/Gross total for the two days. There will be three first place prizes awarded: Individual Low Net, Individual Low Net (Super Seniors) and Individual Low Gross. Super Seniors are those members 70 years or older.

SCORING:
There will be two players listed on each scorecard.
Exchange cards among the foursome.
Do not score your own card.
Record Gross Score hole by hole.
After eighteen holes subtract the player's handicap from his Total Gross Score to determine the Total Net Score.
On Sunday add the two day Gross Scores and Net Scores. Lowest score wins.

TIES:
Ties for Low Gross will be decided by a sudden death playoff starting on hole number one right after all scores are in on Sunday.

Ties for Low Net will be decided by a card-off starting on hole number one using the Net Score on Sunday.

SPECIAL:
Practice Putt(s) / Shot(s) are prohibited during the round.
"Closest to the Pin" will be awarded on four of the five par three holes.
