RULES AND PAIRINGS

The format for this month's tournament is Modified Stableford (see the rules below). The first tee time is 0731. The pairings, tee times and rules at game time take precedence over these posted on the web site. Changes may be expected. Please check in at least forty-five minutes prior to your tee time.

RULES

MODIFIED STABLEFORD (Individual Competition)


TEAMS: There is no team play. You may sign up as a single, a foursome or anything in between. Tee times are assigned first come, first served.

HANDICAP: Each player will play to 100% of his handicap based on the 15 October Index.

FORMAT: Stableford scoring system is stroke-play format in which the high total wins, not the low. That's because in Stableford, your final score is not your stroke total, but rather the total points you have earned for your scores on each individual hole . (see Scoring below

  • Each player will play his own ball throughout the entire round.
  • Record NET score hole-by-hole.
  • Below your NET score record your Points hole-by-hole. (see Points below).
  • Individual with the highest point total wins.
  • Field will be divided into three equal Flights.

FORWARD TEES: Players with an Index of 20 or higher and are 70 yrs or older, may elect to play from the Gold tees. Gold tee players shall be assigned your Gold tee HCP minus a three (3) stroke adjustment. Your HCP for play and for Tm HCP shall be the HCP calculation after all of the adjustments have been applied.

Scoring:

  • Each two man pairing shall swap scorecards with the other twosome in their assigned foursome.
  • Record NET score, hole by hole.
  • Below the NET score, record the points hole-by-hole.
  • Individual with the highest point total wins.
  • Score cards shall be signed/attested by each player in the foursome.
  • Ties will be broken by card off using the #1 HCP hole (#6), NET score. If a tie still exits we will the use the #2 HCP hole (#14), NET score. If the tie still exits we go to the # 3 HCP hole (#3), NET score. This progression will continue until the tie is broken.

POINTS: Each player shall score points as follows:

•  Net Double Bogey or worse: -2

•  Net Bogey: 1

•  Net Par: 2

•  Net Birdie: 4

•  Net Eagle (or Ace): 6

•  Net Double Eagle (Albatross): 8

Special:

  • Practice Putt(s) / Shot(s) are prohibited during the round.
  • ALL putts must be holed out--No gimmies! No practice putting.
  • "Closest to the Pin" will be awarded on all five par three holes. The payout shall be determined by the "buy-in."
  • USGA rules supplemented by local rules apply.
