The original course was designed by golf course architect Jack Halsey of Halsey Design.
The remodeled front nine was designed by Jack's son Duray. The Sea 'N Air remodeled front nine opened on 15 Sept 07. All holes, except eight and nine, are either brand new or redesigned.
The five new holes on the front nine and two on the backcourse offer golfers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to enjoy a challenging layout on a relatively challenging course. This course also offers many beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the Coronado Beach.
The view from the new 14th green offers a spectacular 360 degree view of the Pacific Ocean, Pt Loma, San Diego, Coronado-San Diego Bay Bridge, Hotel del Coronado and the Coronado Beach.
